My New Look Is Coming!!

I have some new photos from the bridal runway show we went to last week, I have been wanting to post them all week so here they are.   

These photos were taken by my husband and these are just a few of the ones that came out really nice.

This gown was so simple, yet so lovely.   Everyone really liked this shot.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        On this shot I liked how the  black bow offset the gown.  I liked the thick pearl necklace as the accessories.

The designers made this dress very similar to the previous one, but longer.  I thought it was very nice.

And as far as the title of this Blog entry goes.  My husband has been revamping my website.  I asked him to change the colors and the theme to make it more wedding oriented and business office looking.  So the new look should be up and running by the beginning of the week.....Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!

Email Issues!!!

Hello everyone, sorry I haven't been blogging for a while.  I have been really busy with work and I have some really exciting news that I will share with everyone, once i have solidified all the details.  In the mean time, I have received some emails from Amber who has a wedding in April, from Jill who has a wedding in May, and from Elaine.  I am so sorry, but due to some error on the side of my web server, I did not get your email addresses so that I could reply back to you.  I got some generic web address and since all of your inquiries had the same generic email account....I knew something was wrong.  If you read this over the next few days, please send me your info again.  I will make it a priority to schedule you in.

My Hubby and Me.....Well Mostly Me!!!

     My husband and I spent most of the day yesterday taking photographs of me for my website, and other publishing articles, for my business Bella Di Oliva.  We went down to the botanical gardens and just started taking pictures.  I was so nervous at first.  What if what I'm wearing makes me look out of shape, what if my updo isn't right!!!  Why are there soo many people looking!!!!  You know what, the first dozen shots or so you could totally tell how nervous I was, but after another dozen or so, you can totally tell I was getting into it.  We took over 900 picture.....lol. My husband has a good camera....lol.  So we got home late in the afternoon.  We popped open a bottle of wine, had some nice pasta and salad, then we finally got around to looking at some of the photographs. I will post some after my husband has had a chance to re-size them.  He says 15 mega pixels is huge for the web....whatever that means, but he's the expert so I let him do what he needs.  Here's one I liked a lot. (I made him fix it last night)

I LOVE!!! that necklace!!

I'm sitting in a giant butterfly chair...how cute is that!!  I am wearing a classic 50's updo, with traditional make up, on top of an airbrush foundation.  I am wearing lash extensions and of course I am wearing my luscious red lipstick so my lips can pop, plus my husband loves it, naturally...lol.  Here is the other photo we fixed last night.  I will get more posted in a few days.  It just got really late last night to go over so many photographs.

I Have Some New Photos From Amy's Wedding!

Well, I finally finished going through the photos we took doing Amy's hair and make up for her wedding.  I will post all of them in my photo gallery at BellaDiOliva.com.  This is Amy all done up for her big day. She really looks beautiful! I did a nice flawless airbrush makeup and traditional makeup combo on her to give her a very soft classic Victorian look.

Before

I started her bridal party at 8:00 in the morning, there were six girls total including Amy. This is Amy ready to take on the big day, knowing I would take good care of her.  The first step was cleansing Amy's face with a gentle astringent like witch hazel.  Then I use a nice concealer to hide any blemishes before I apply the airbrush makeup.

It's really important to let the makeup dry while maintaining a strait face.  Once the face is dry, I apply a translucent finishing powder. Amy wanted me to accentuate her eyes by applying some false lashes, which I did before i began to apply the rest of her make up.

 

I did a nice understated eye shadow, and I made her lips pop by outlining them then filling them in with a permanent lip color.   A little blush and we are done.  I made it sound easy as to not bore you with the details.....lol.

I finally got my husband to come on location with me to one of my wedding sessions. He has never had the chance to actually see what I do on these wedding events. Boy was he impressed. We started at 8:00 am sharp and finished by 3:00 pm. He was there for moral support and to take pictures, lots and lots of pictures !!!! I think he took over a 1000 photos, which of course now we have to review and choose the best ones, but from what I've seen so far there is a lot of really nice pictures of six of the sweetest girls I've ever worked with, and alot of good photos of me working my craft! So stay tuned!!

Another Great Week End!

Yes!!

Another weekend and many happy brides ….I love to meet people from around the world and I don’t even have to go outside of Austin. Many of which have never even been to Texas before, but are here as members of a bridal party. They come to me and leave very happy, with good memories of Austin Texas! Thank you to everyone that worked with me to make it happen, and thank you to everyone that gave me the opportunity to make it happen!! I love to create the magic of designing the brides hair. It is so hard for me to put my feelings into words, but it is so easy to put my feelings into my work and I do put them into my work which you would clearly see.
Come and see me make the magic in person or in any of my other art work, fashion art, or other designing arts. I am passionate in my love for the arts. I can’t fight it, that’s who I am.

Great Week!

We had a great week this week.  My website is taking off.  I am actually driving traffic to the site thanks to all of you who have visited belladioliva.com.  I am working on registering at some of the more popular bridal sites so that we can get even more people visiting the website.  Don't forget to sign into the guest book please.  I had a bunch of people already signed up, but I reloaded the guest book and overwrote the data.  Whoops!

Fashion Show Response

Hi , It's me Bella, thank you for taking the time over the last few days to send me pictures and posts on face book for the Fashion Rocks the Belmont show.  I have reposted a bunch of them on my website http://www.belladioliva.com/.  It's like the grand opening ..lol.
